On Friday 15th Feb, more than 30 of us set off for the lovely, much overlooked Town of Osuna. Set inland on the way to Seville, it has commanding views over the surrounding land. We had guided visits in the 2 major monuments, the Collegiata, a large church with wonderful carvings and works of art. Then on to the Convent opposite with a very ornate altarpiece in the chapel and a great deal of religious art and very tasty biscuits and pastries. Some of us then went by coach to another part of town to have lunch while others went with Sue Harvey, to the Archaeology Museum, which isn’t suitable for all due to access and steep steps. After lunch, some of which took a very long time, we departed for Nerja and arrived just before 18.00.
