The artwork, 'Blood Swept Lands and Seas of Red' by Paul Cummins features thousands of ceramic poppies pouring into the moat will officially be unveiled on 5th August.
At yesterday’s meeting, I mentioned the project “Poppies at the Tower” where over 800,000 ceramic poppies are displayed in the moat.  This morning, it has been said that so many people have visited, that the tube station at Tower Hill had to be closed and they are asking people not to visit until after half-term !  Apparently all poppies have now been sold at £25.00 each which has raised over £11 million to be distributed among charities supporting veterans, including Br. Legion and Help for Heroes.
Quite an amazing sight !
